Experience More, Spend Less

Don’t let perceived cost of travel stop you from experiencing the world. Trains, Buses, Hostels & Home Stays will answer your questions, eliminate your fears, and prepare you to plan your ultimate getaway in ways less traveled.

Take in the scenery of a foreign country when you travel by long-distance train. Experience sleeping in a couchette where you get to meet and converse with travelers from other parts of the world.

Travel by night! Have you ever considered taking a bus, overnight? Sleeper buses can be quite comfortable, some even provide food, and buses offer exclusive access to certain areas.

Young, old, solo, or with a partner – Hostels are more budget friendly and offer other benefits. There are many different types of hostels offering various sized dorms and even private rooms and private bathrooms.

Stay with a local! Meet local residents, experience the true culture, get insider tips about places to eat and things to do. Through a home stay, like Airbnb, or even couch surfing you might even find a new friend.

Trains, Buses, Hostels and Home Stays was written based upon personal travel experiences. The book’s purpose is to help you:

  • identify where you really want to go,
  • plan your own customized itinerary
  • understand options and book travel using trains, buses, hostels & home stays
  • prepare your documents and mobile device for travel
  • pack everything you need for shared accommodation or overnight train or bus journeys
  • become aware of health and safety considerations
  • plus, so much more.

Creating my own unique journeys has allowed me to see so many more places and have experiences I would have missed if I restricted my travel to pre-packaged tours.

However, there are times when I do incorporate organized tours and day trips into my plans. The book will discuss the benefits of adding tours at times and why ferries and even cruises might be cost effective.

There is always a bit of apprehension when we step out of our comfort zone and decide to explore the world.

Reading my book might provide you with the information and answers you need to feel confident about taking your own journey.
